B&L Lund AB is a family business founded by Bengt & Lena Lund in 1980.
Over the years, we have developed from installing acoustic ceilings to also manufacture and sell sound absorbers in all its forms.
Acqwool is one of our brands where we develop and manufacture environmentally friendly sound absorbers in wool. Our products are intended to add aesthetic values to public spaces while having unique sound-improving qualities.
After a number of acoustic tests at the Swedish Technical Research Institute, we can conclude that our textile works acoustically damping both for higher and lower frequencies. We have named the material Qwaiet. We also knit a thinner fabric, 2-4 mm, we call it Qwiz, this fabric allows us to dress sound absorbers, such as wall absorbers, floor & table screens and manufacture sound absorbing curtains.

Environment

Qwaiet is made from 100% pure wool and finished in a water-based process. No chemicals are added in the manufacturing or finishing process, so we dare to say that the products from Acqwool are completely environmentally friendly.

Qwaiet and Qwiz as materials are fully recyclable.

History

Acqwool has its tradition in the jersey industry and has stuck its way through the ages. Acqwool's manufacturing has mostly been like mercenaries to the major retail chains, but it didn't feel enough. In 2002, new roads were sought, the choice was then easy, to further develop the possibilities of wool for new heights. Stubbornly, it has been knitted, tested, re-tested, analyzed, evaluated, revalued and re-knitted and processed on a material that demonstrated unique and interesting results. Partly as a basic commodity but also as a platform for new diversified product ideas.
The ambition and vision is to develop the natural material wool, in one or more steps further. Create viable solutions and products for the increased demands, needs, and comfort of the present.

Today all knitting, preparation and production of our products takes place with us in Broddetorp, at scenic Hornborgasjön.
