Spring Acoustics Course 2023 open for registration

The first course was quickly full, so we are adding another day.

It is now possible to register for the spring acoustics course.

On Thursday 30th March we will have a full day acoustics course at our place.

A full day with useful knowledge of sound, room acoustics and action tips.
Here's what we're going through:

  • Basic knowledge of acoustics and ceilings.
  • Current standards for building acoustics and requirements according to BBR.
  • Ceiling suppliers on the Swedish market.
  • Our unique computational program for room acoustics.
  • See how our production of sound absorbers works.
  • Practical measurements together of sound level, step sound, sound reduction and reverberation time.

We share our approach to sound problems.
Feel free to discuss your current sound problems.

Limited number of seats.

This is included in the course:

  • Course material
  • Coffee
  • Lunch
  • Calculation program

Course fee: 1000:-excl. VAT.

New Swedish names

When we update our price list 1/6, we now also choose to reinforce the Swedish origin and give all our products Swedish names.

We are proud to produce these fine wool products in the Swedish countryside surrounded by fields and with a lovely view of Lake Hornborgasjön.

It becomes simple descriptive names based on the English original names of the products.

We apologise in advance for any mess while we rebuild the website.

Recommended by the building product assessment

Our account at the building product assessment is greened by recommended icons for our sound absorbers – spring is coming! Today we published two more products Palett and Flex recommended by the building products assessment. It feels very nice to celebrate Easter knowing that our absorbents, which are mounted in many schools and preschools all over Sweden, do not contain any weirdness. They do not emit harmful organic compounds (VOCs) and they are fireproof. We have worked hard with acoustic measurements on all our products to offer the most efficient sound absorbers on the market and throughout the journey we have tried to use healthy raw materials. Now we get proof that the sound absorbers we pick up are healthy. More receipts that Acqwool and Absoflex products are very nice to have in their indoor environment are on the way – keep an eye out at Byggvarubedömningen and Sundahus, but also on our website!

We know that many people have been waiting for our building product assessments, it has taken a little while, only an emissions measurement takes 28 days in the Chamber. We have made the latest measurements at Eurofins, with which we also collaborate on our fire tests.

Reference Skara Diocese and County Library

During the past week, our fitters Alexander and Albin have mounted compact ceiling at Skara's old diocese and county council library. Compact Ceiling is a highly sound absorbing wool vepa(6mm thick) that is mounted wave format to the ceiling. The longest cranks mounted were 12.3 meters long and consisted of 20 arches.  In old buildings like this, it is not suitable to mount any sound absorbing products, but with compact ceiling it became really stylish.

Before the installation was measured the after-klangtime in each room. The after-klangstiden shows how long the sound stays in the room, if the after-time is long, it will be difficult to stay in the room. In buildings with hard building materials such as concrete, stone or brick, the after-time is long, as was the case here. Before we make a proposal to the customer, we make a calculation in our calculation program, in the program we have the absorption factors of our products posted. In this way, we can experiment with the different products and also develop the right amount to get a shorter after-term time.

The customer experienced a big difference in the room after the installation of compact ceiling. See the chart below how the after-klang time looked like before, calculated and after installation.

More new products

The development of new products is constant. Right now we are working on developing a woolly wall absorber in more shapes than squares and rectangles.
These new products will be found in a smaller format (>60 cm) and make it possible to make colorful and expressive montages.
Hopefully we can show you even more soon!
